Our goats are a source of top quality Boer genetics and healthy breeding stock. We supply registered breeding bucks and does.
Located in the beautiful Macedon Ranges area of Central Victoria, Australia, we are within easy access of the Melbourne International Airport.
Our farm consists of clean open paddocks with access to lush feed and a pure water supply.
Living on the premises means that we are in constant contact with our animals to ensure their wellbeing.
About Us
The goats are owned and managed by Frances Ashwood. After starting life in suburban Melbourne, a move to Macedon Ranges followed. We moved to a small farm with 3 rapidly growing children. The children are now grown and leading their own lives. Whilst having a career in Nursing and Midwifery I always had a passion for breeding animals, including sheep, deer, Jack Russell terriers and chickens (bantam Andalusian).
In 1996 I commenced with a few cashmere goats and a Boer buck. This interest in goats has evolved and it is now time to focus on producing quality fullblood Boer goats. With their superior meat production characteristics they are the basis of the goat meat industry. I’m a member of the Boer Goat Breeders Association of Australia and relish the opportunities to attend workshops and shows and meet other breeders.
